Lickle Jamaica Restaurant: Authentic Caribbean Flavors in Maywood, IL

Went in Friday afternoon busy place.. 20-25 min wait. JERK taco is fire... Wings were bit dry..Alfredo was too thin for me but good flavors. GREAT jerk sauce.

1/23/2026 it's-5° outside NWS issues a cold advisory for the area. Heat is broken in the restaurant and a gentleman named 2 is running the entire restaurant, phones cashier and cook and still got our food out in a timely order. GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE !!!

Food was pretty good. Greens and cabbage spicy but good, Jerk Chicken good but can use a little more flavor, Jerk tips were good, Yams we're good, Oxtails we're good not enough tho for the price, rice and beans were just ok, macaroni cheese was goooood, service was good environment was good. We will be back again to try more things

*UPDATE: take out only. Just get a chicken (or rib tip) dinner it’s decent food not the besttt but it is yummy && it stayed warm 25minutes that’s really why the 4star. I guess I went there for the wrong thing. Didn’t want a meal bc I wasn’t super hungry so I got a jerk chicken taco…it wasn’t great. I’ll visit again though && try a jerk chicken dinner.

Got the dark meat jerk chicken dinner. It was good. A little dry but the vinegar sauce you get with it is good for that. Mac and cheese and cabbage were . Greens had some heat! Delicious sides. I'd go back. And all that for $13 after tax

My son’s friend wanted to try this new restaurant in Maywood. He brought 4 Dinner trays of food home. I thought the ribs were a little moist. They seemed to have been marinated and tender. The wings and all of everything needed less jerk seasoning. The cabbage tasted okay and not salty but the macaroni and cheese tasted slightly salty. Some one was most definitely too heavy handed on the salt! There’s no need to even add salt to macaroni, just black pepper. Some people can’t eat all of that sodium in their food. The restaurant needs to take that into consideration. Make sure the food is flavorful and not piled with excessive salt. The candied yams didn’t taste badly. The restaurant just needs to focus on flavor and allow consumers to add their own salt. This was my real first time tasting actual jerk food from a restaurant.

Ordered through Doordash and was not disappointed! First time ordering from here and I am so glad I did! The food was hot, delicious, and FULL OF FLAVOR! Thank you for this gem of a place. Looking forward to coming back and ordering again.

I absolutely love them!!! But this last time I was so disappointed in the itty bitty wings especially when I’m treating my man and he opens it up and the wings looked sad. But now those keel ribs tips and Mac n cheese!!! Despite thing wings it will not stop me from ordering. Highly recommend!$
